Cementino Rugs pays tribute to the traditional flooring tiles made of “Portland” cement, a true icon of Italian and European popular housings in the late nineteenth century, able to turn the austere practicality of a construction material into a decorative gesture rich of colours and geometries. The three-dimensional pattern is built on the truncated octahedron, one of the classic Archimedean geometric solids, characterized by six square plus eight hexagonal faces which, repeated in the space, create a pattern defined by chiaroscuros that allow to cut out a special corner in every home, with a yesteryear allure.
Cementino Rugs Collection has been introduced during Milan Design Week 2019.
